In today's Dinette Set, Dale and Marlene flaunt their disposable income through an Eddie Bauer signature grill.

In a case of art mirroring life, the artist continues to shill her soul for disposable income through product placement dollars. This includes a vain pipe dream that including the word Cartier in the panel will cause the renowned jeweler to send her a gift.

Ooh, italic letters! Her hand gets tired after one word, so it's written as "Eddie Bauer".

I'm amusing myself by imagining Burl getting smacked in the face with that bbq fork right after that comment.

The gas cannister seems to be laying on its side or something - the tube is hooked right up to the center of it. I don't know drawing, but I do know grilling, and that's dangerous, man.

Is this in-character for Dale and Marlene? I don't really keep track of character development in this fine series, but I thought they were all penny-pinchers, or is that just the Pennys?

*I* am not amusing myself by imagining, thanks to E-R-O-X, that liquid propane will slosh through the grill gas hose and create a giant conflagration that will purge Crustwood of its most annoying residents.
