I dunno about the femur, but Ms. Larson got the speaker's name wrong. Macgyver's first name is Angus, not Euel.
It's not a femur... he's become a survival expert because his arm works like he's Mr. Fantastic and so he can just pull himself out of whatever he's gotten into.
