- When you check into a hotel or motel, you usually park by reception until you are assigned a room...are they saying they sleep in reception?
- Are they assigned a room close to the exit because the motor inn is so happy to see them leave?
- Just how often do these folks visit Salinas?
- And why do they visit Salinas?
- Why mention Salinas so specifically at all? Especially when you mean Salinas, KS and not Salinas, CA.

Motor Mouths
In todays Dinette Set, all of the players run off at the mouth and the reader still has no clue what's going on.

the magic spacing of the words around Joy's head on the whiteboard was particularly egregious today.
I really wish I could meet Ms. Larson in person. And tell her, for the love of all that's holy, stop doing that.
I don't care that the panels usually aren't funny. Most of the time, they are transcendently unfunny, so unfunny they wrap back around and are funny again. Like Zippy.
But I just really can't stand the way those stupid heads push the stupid words out of the way on the whiteboard. Bleh. That's just stupid.
Oh, and by the way:
Joy better lay off that coffee. It seems to have mutated her arm into some kind of freakish pseudopod. I swear, she could probably tie her shoes without bending over! Look at that thing!
Where the hell is the joke? Do I need to be familiar with the Oasis Motor Inn to get it? I hate Dinette Set.
