Sire Arthur rolls over in his grave

In today's Dinette Set, it's unclear whether the Penny's are attempting to shoplift or whether random supermarket employee is over-reacting in a massive way. Not that I really much care, since neither is all that funny.

And my attention is still drawn irresistibly to the white zombies.

Er... I'm totally confused by this. The wall in the back definitely appears to be the outside wall of the store, what with the bricks and the signs facing that way. But the Pennys appear to be just arriving at the checkout counter, which presumably is inside. This makes it even harder to decide what the intended joke is than usual, since it depends on whether they're inside or outside what the point is.

The bricks and signs do seem to indicate that the checkout stand is located outside. I'll assume the architect was on acid, or was Sarah Winchester.

The zombies that haunt all the supermarkets are back, and this time their arms are even in the classic zombie position. Crust Foods must have some great prices to warrant taking the risk of joining the ranks of the undead.

Seriously, that's a weird setup. I mean, the "closed" sign indicates that they're inside the building (and the open sign is facing out). Now, name me a major chain store that actually uses a flipping open/close sign and I'll give you a cookie.

But, the Pennies are clearly pushing their cart to the checkout stand.

From the outside.

It totally looks to me as if they're coming up from the wrong side completely. Ah well. Maybe today's comic will be more comprehensible.

Oh, and the "panic" in panic button looks like "penis" to me, which makes this a very funny comic indeed.
