Sunday Reader Blogging: Kids' Sports

See it here.

If I read this 21 September, 2004 panel correctly, this is a Mallard Fillmore-esque complaint about the fact that kids' teams nowadays allow every child to play, no matter how sucky they are. This perhaps would make more sense if there were more than 6 players trying out for a basketball team.

What do you think?

My first reaction is why is Burl being allowed to intruct children in a physical activity? This is why obesity is such an epidemic in america.

Is it really that hard to draw a basketball that doesn't look like a pizza?

The inscription on Burl's clipboard appears to read: "Property of Burl Penny and Visa." A scathing critque of America's reliance on easy credit, no doubt.
