- Penning one of the least comprehensible sentences in comics history, rather than simply asking "Why's Timmy rummaging about in your room, Marlene?"

I'm so glad you're writing these again! And I'm so totally bewildered by today's comic... why can't he go? Because Dale is going to kill him for discovering his thieving ways?
I believe the joke (such as it is) is that Dale was going to use the $3 he stole from Timmy to go on the school field trip himself.
Not that it makes any sense...
